Concord, NH – Dueling Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots continue to climb as the New Hampshire Lottery projects $1.72 billion in combined winnings for the Mega Millions and Powerball drawings Friday and Saturday night. The New Hampshire Lottery expects tomorrow night’s (3/22) Mega Millions jackpot to reach $977 million and Saturday night’s (3/23) Powerball jackpot to jump to $750 million.
The estimated $977 million Mega Millions jackpot would be the sixth-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record and the estimated $750 million Powerball jackpot would be the ninth-largest Powerball jackpot in history. The Mega Millions one-time cash payout is expected to increase to $461 million and the Powerball one-time cash payout is projected to increase to $357.3 million. A lucky New Hampshire player purchased a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket for the drawing on Wednesday (3/20). That player also Power Played their ticket for $1 more and the $50,000 prize was multiplied by the Power Play number of 2, becoming a $100,000 win! This lucky ticket was purchased online through NH iLottery.
