Concord, NH – Dueling Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots continue to climb as New Hampshire Lottery players now have the chance to win an estimated $1.2 billion in combined Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots Friday and Saturday night. The New Hampshire Lottery projects tonight’s (3/8) Mega Millions jackpot will reach $687 million and tomorrow night’s (3/9) Powerball jackpot will increase to $521 million.
The New Hampshire Lottery expects the Mega Millions one-time cash payout to climb to $332.3 million and the Powerball one-time cash payout to jump to $249.6 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, March 5, were: 02-49-50-61-70 MB-14 with a Megaplier of 2.
Powerball drawing results from Wednesday, March 6, were: 06-19-28-44-60 PB-10 with a Power Play of 2.
The estimated $687 million Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since December 8, 2023, when a lucky player in California purchased a $395 million jackpot winning ticket. The anticipated $521 million Powerball jackpot has been growing since January 1, when a lucky player in Michigan purchased a $842.2 million jackpot winning ticket.
The largest Powerball jackpot on record was $2.04 billion in November 2022, which was also the largest lottery jackpot in world history. The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.537 billion in October 2018.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
