Concord, NH – Football fans in New Hampshire wagered $9.2 million on Super Bowl LVII that came down to the last 10 seconds of the game with MVP Quarterback Patrick Mahomes overcoming a sprained ankle to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory. About 60% of New Hampshire sports wagers were placed on the Philadelphia Eagles. The more than $9.2 million in total wagering bests last year’s total of $7.7 million.

“Since sports betting started in New Hampshire, one thing is clear: the Super Bowl is far and away our players’ single favorite event and we have seen that play out once again this year,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Even without the New England Patriots playing in the game this year, New Hampshire sports fans still loved the excitement of the Super Bowl. Super Bowl sports betting continues to play a major role in our ability to deliver maximum revenue in support of public education in the Granite State.”

The 38-35 final score kept betting fans on the edge of their seats right up until the final seconds of the game. Aside from betting on the point spread and the game’s outcome, players also wagered on a number of prop bets, including betting on the coin toss outcome, whether a quarterback would have a reception, the jersey numbers of touchdown scorers or whether a kicker would hit the uprights on a field goal or extra point—Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker did hit the uprights on a first half field goal attempt.

More than $7 million in wagers were placed via the DraftKings mobile sportsbook app through kickoff. Players at New Hampshire’s three retail sportsbooks locations–DraftKings Sportsbook at the Brook in Seabrook, and DraftKings Sportsbook at Filotimo in Manchester and Dover–also wagered another $2.2 million on the game.

Since sports betting’s inception in the Granite State in 2019, New Hampshire players have wagered nearly $2 billion.

New Hampshire residents can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app to place wagers through DraftKings, which is the exclusive digital operator in New Hampshire. Sports fans can place bets on the DraftKings Sportsbook app or online at Sportsbook.DraftKings.com.
