Powerball Jackpot Skyrockets to Almost $2 Billion for Monday’s Drawing

11/7/2022

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Lottery players now have another chance to win the largest jackpot in world history as the New Hampshire Lottery projects tonight’s (11/7) jackpot will reach $1.9 billion. The New Hampshire Lottery expects the one-time cash payout to reach $929.1 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“It is difficult to find the words to properly describe the excitement we are all feeling as our players and retailers are looking at a Powerball jackpot of nearly $2 billion tonight,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “The sales numbers speak for themselves. We sold more than $8.3 million in Powerball tickets last week alone between our retail partners and NH iLottery—these incredible sales support our mission of driving maximum funding for education in New Hampshire. Players, you still have time to get in on the action for tonight’s world-record jackpot!”

Over the last week, the New Hampshire Lottery’s 1,200 retailers sold $6.9 million in Powerball tickets, while players purchased another $1.4 million through NH iLottery.

Powerball drawing results from Saturday, November 5, were: 28-45-53-56-69 PB-20 with a Power Play of 3.

Monday’s drawing would be the 41st Powerball drawing since the last jackpot was won on August 3 in Pennsylvania, when a lucky player purchased a $206.9 million winning ticket.

“We know this is an exciting time for our players, but it is more important than ever to play responsibly,” McIntyre added. “Now is the perfect opportunity to join a Powerball pool with friends and colleagues. It only takes one to win!”
