Concord, NH – New Hampshire players now have a chance to win an estimated $948 million in combined Mega Millions and Powerball drawings taking place tonight and Saturday night. The New Hampshire Lottery projects tonight’s (10/14) Mega Millions jackpot will reach $494 million and tomorrow night’s (10/15) Powerball jackpot will increase to $454 million. The New Hampshire Lottery expects the Powerball one-time cash payout to increase to $232.6 million and the Mega Millions one-time cash payout to jump to $248.7 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)
“You can feel the excitement in the air as the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots continue to grow. Our players now have a shot at winning nearly $1 billion between the two drawings—that’s billion with a B,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Our retailers are reporting strong sales and online sales are taking off with Powerball and Mega Millions ticket sales exceeding $1.2 million last week alone. Powerball drawing results from Wednesday, October 12, were: 14-30-41-42-59 PB-6 with a Power Play of 5.
Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, October 11, were: 03-07-11-13-38 MB-1 with a Megaplier of 3.
The largest Powerball jackpot was $1.586 billion in January 2016, which remains the world record lottery jackpot. The largest Mega Millions jackpot was a $1.537 billion jackpot in October 2018.
The anticipated $494 million Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since July 29, when a lucky player in Illinois purchased a $1.337 billion jackpot winning ticket—the 3rd largest U.S. Lottery jackpot of all time. The $454 million Powerball jackpot has been growing since August 3, when a lucky Pennsylvania player purchased a $206.9 million jackpot winning ticket.
