Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Lottery has already seen sports fans place more than $2 million on this year’s Big Game, which takes place this Sunday, February 13, between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. As of today, Friday, February 11, New Hampshire players consistently like the Bengals to win the game with about 70% of bets on the game’s outcome going in the Bengals favor. Last year, New Hampshire players bet more than $7.1 million on this event.
“Sports betting continues to build momentum in New Hampshire and there is no bigger driver than the Big Game, which represents the single biggest sports betting event of the year,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “We would expect heavy betting volume throughout the weekend and right through the game on Sunday, allowing us to maximize revenue for our schools here in New Hampshire.”
Aside from betting on the game’s outcome and point spread, some of the most popular bets by New Hampshire players include betting Cooper Kupp or Ja’Marr Chase to have a 50+ yard touchdown reception, betting Matthew Stafford to be the game’s MVP and longshot parlay bets on Matthew Stafford or Joe Burrow to throw for more than 375 yards and three touchdowns in the game. Players have also placed a number of novelty prop bets, such as betting on a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation or betting one team to score three unanswered times.
In addition to mobile sports betting, the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings have opened three retail sportsbook locations. DraftKings Sportsbook at The Brook in Seabrook opened in August 2020 and DraftKings Sportsbook at Filotimo in Manchester opened in September 2020, with Filotimo opening a sister location in Dover in October 2021.
Since the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings launched mobile sports betting in New Hampshire on December 30, 2019, bettors have wagered more than $1 billion.
New Hampshire residents can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app to place wagers through DraftKings, the exclusive digital operator in New Hampshire. Sports fans can place bets on the DraftKings Sportsbook app via iOS and Android or online at Sportsbook.DraftKings.com.
