NH Lottery Expecting Mega Millions Jackpot to Climb to $640 Million Just in Time for the New Year

Concord, NH – Without a winner in Tuesday’s drawing, the New Hampshire Lottery is projecting Friday’s (12/30) Mega Millions drawing will reach $640 million, which will be the last Mega Millions drawing of 2022. The anticipated $640 million jackpot would be the sixth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The New Hampshire Lottery projects the one-time cash payout will increase to $329.3 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“There is just nothing better than the excitement of a big Mega Millions jackpot right in the middle of the holiday season. I know I’m hoping one of our lucky New Hampshire players gets to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve as a $640 million winner!” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “We are seeing the momentum build as online sales are showing and our retailers are reporting excellent sales and we can all feel the anticipation rising. We encourage our players to get in on the action for a chance to ring in 2023 as a $640 million winner!”

Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, December 27, were: 09-13-36-59-61 MB-11 with a Megaplier of 2.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.537 billion, which was won October 23, 2018.
