Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting the Powerball jackpot will rise to $700 million for tonight’s (10/26) drawing. The anticipated $700 million jackpot would be the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot on record and the eighth-largest lottery jackpot overall. The one-time cash payout is expected to be $335.7 million (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)
“This Powerball jackpot simply will not slow down, as it has already cracked the top-five list of largest Powerball jackpots in history, presenting our New Hampshire players with an opportunity to win a life-changing $700 million prize,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “As this jackpot climbs the charts, our retailers and our online sales platform are seeing tremendous sales activity, with Powerball sales topping out at more than $1.2 million last week alone. Remember, you have to play to win!”

The Powerball jackpot has been growing since August 3, when a lucky winner from Pennsylvania purchased a $206.9 million winning ticket.
The Powerball jackpot reached $1.586 billion in January 2016, marking not only the largest Powerball jackpot on record but also the largest lottery jackpot in history. The jackpot was split between three winners in Florida, California and Tennessee.
