Concord, NH – Since Tom Brady announced his return to the NFL for a 23rd season on March 13, the New Hampshire Lottery has seen a more than 1,000% uptick in total bets and 2,900% increase in dollars bet on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the NFL championship next season in each case through this week. With Brady back under center, the odds on Tampa Bay to win the championship jumped from 29 to 1 immediately prior to Brady’s announcement to 8.5 to 1 as of today.

Prior to Brady’s announcement, the choice of Tampa Bay to win next year’s NFL championship represented 8% of the total dollars bet and 4% of total bets. As of today, Tampa Bay represents 11% of the total dollars bet and 6% of total bets.
