Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Lottery, one of the fastest-growing lotteries in the country, is set to introduce a third weekly Powerball drawing beginning August 23, 2021, giving players more chances to win cash prizes and even bigger jackpots with America’s jackpot game. The new Monday Powerball drawing will join weekly drawings that take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. With the addition of the Monday Powerball drawing, the New Hampshire Lottery anticipates larger and faster growing jackpots, resulting in an increase in the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded each year.
“We are thrilled to offer this new weekly Powerball drawing to our players, as they will soon have more chances to win big than ever before,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “With our Powerball sales continuing to build momentum, this third drawing will allow us to meet consumer demand, while providing bigger and better jackpots and prizes, all while maximizing revenue for education in New Hampshire. We cannot contain our excitement much longer—August 23 cannot come soon enough!”
The additional drawing will not change the Powerball game odds or set cash prizes. As before, players will choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.
The latest New Hampshire Powerball winners include Darin Lazzard of Rochester and Margaret Walsh of Atkinson, who split a winning $1 million Powerball ticket sold at Cabot Street Market for the drawing on Saturday, July 24.
