WHAT:
Governor Chris Sununu and New Hampshire Lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre will race school buses down New England’s only quarter-mile drag strip. The third annual New Hampshire Lottery Educational Cup Challenge raises awareness for the more than $2 billion the New Hampshire Lottery has generated for education in the Granite State since its inception in 1964. Along with Governor Sununu and Charlie McIntyre, Rock 101 personality, Roadkill, and 2019 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year, Keith Noyes, will hit the gas in school buses in a series of races for the Educational Cup.
The New Hampshire Educational Cup will take place as part of the Dragway’s “Jet Cars Under the Starts” program, in which a variety of jet-powered dragsters will hit the track, including Jet Trucks, Jet Dragsters, Jet Funny Cars, and Hot Rods.
