The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot will climb to an all-time world record of $1.6 billion, which would exceed the previous record $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot from January 2016. With this expected jackpot increase, the Mega Millions one-time cash payout is projected to increase to $904.9 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.) While there was no jackpot winner, the Captains Corner, 727 Manhattan Avenue in Nashua, sold a winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket for Friday’s drawing.

In addition to the $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot, the Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing is expected to increase to $470 million with a one-time cash payout option of $268.6 million.

“More than $2 billion is up for grabs between tonight’s Powerball jackpot and Tuesday’s astounding, record-breaking $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot. The anticipation is off the charts,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director, New Hampshire Lottery. “We are thrilled to see a $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket in Nashua—that only further fuels the excitement for all our players and retailers.”

The Mega Millions drawing results from Friday, October 19, were: 15-23-53-65-70 MB-7 with a Megaplier of 2.

On top of the $1 million winning ticket sold in Nashua, the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Interstate 95 northbound sold a winning $10,000 Mega Millions ticket for last night’s drawing.

“While we certainly want to encourage players to get in on the Mega Millions and Powerball action given these huge jackpots, we also want to remind players to play responsibly,” McIntyre added. “You have to play to win but it only takes one ticket to win.”

This estimated $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since July 24, when an 11-member office pool in California won a $543 million jackpot.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and tickets are on sale until 9:50 PM Tuesday. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,400 retailers statewide, as well as through the New Hampshire Lottery’s new online platform, iLottery.
