More Than Half-a-billion Dollars Up for Grabs in Friday’s Mega Millions Jackpot

The New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot has soared past the half-a-billion dollars mark for Friday’s drawing. The anticipated $502 million Mega Millions jackpot would be the fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record and the 10th-largest jackpot overall.

Since January 5, when a lucky Florida player claimed a $451 million Mega Millions prize, there have been 23 consecutive Mega Millions drawings without a jackpot winner. The one-time cash payout for Friday’s drawing is projected to increase to $301.5 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“The Mega Millions jackpot is reaching tremendous heights as we are anticipating this Friday’s jackpot to exceed half-a-billion dollars!” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “This is an extraordinary prize and you can feel the excitement in the air. New Hampshire has never had a Mega Millions jackpot winner—the time is now!”

The Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, March 27, were: 7-25-43-56-59 MB-13 with a Megaplier of 3.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million, which three winners from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland shared in March 2012. Winners in California and Georgia shared a $648 million Mega Millions prize in December 2013, and an Indiana player won a $536 million Mega Millions prize in July 2016.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and tickets are on sale until 9:50 PM Friday.
