With no winner in this past Tuesday’s drawing, the New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot is expected to increase to $336 million for tomorrow’s drawing. The $336 million jackpot would be tied for the 11th-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record. The one-time cash payout for Friday’s drawing is expected to increase to $195.3 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)
“The action really starts to pick up whenever a jackpot reaches the $300 million threshold and the pace of sales is definitely on the rise at retailers across the state,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Players still have time to get their tickets for tomorrow night’s drawing. Remember, we have never had a Mega Millions jackpot winner in New Hampshire. Let’s have our first winner Friday night!”
The Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, September 25, were: 8-16-32-48-61 MB-12 with a Megaplier of 2.
The current Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since July 24, when an 11-member office pool in California won a $543 million jackpot. The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million, which three winners from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland shared in March 2012.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and tickets are on sale until 9:50 PM Friday. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,400 retailers statewide, as well as through the New Hampshire Lottery’s new online platform, iLottery. For more information and to play, visit www.nhlottery.com.
