Starkey purchased his winning ticket at Circle K in Raymond
Nottingham resident Charles Starkey claimed a $1 million Powerball prize today at New Hampshire Lottery headquarters. Starkey purchased his winning Powerball ticket at the Circle K on Route 27 in Raymond for last night’s drawing. (Prize amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)
“Summer time is winning time! It is exciting to have a $1 million New Hampshire Powerball winner,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “We were pleased to meet our winner today. Congratulations to Mr. Starkey. There’s still time to get in on the Powerball action as the jackpot is on the rise for Saturday’s drawing.”
The Powerball drawing results from last night (July 11) were: 19-21-27-46-47 PB-7 with a Power Play of 4.
With no jackpot winner, the New Hampshire Powerball jackpot is expected to climb to $100 million for Saturday’s drawing. The one-time cash option is expected to reach $61 million. The current jackpot has been growing since June 20 when a $151 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Oregon.
Just this past March, a lucky New Hampshire player claimed a $559.7 million Powerball prize, the sixth largest Powerball jackpot in history. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, claimed the prize through the Good Karma Family 2018 Nominee Trust.
In addition to the $1 million Powerball winner, the Market Basket in Rochester sold a $30,000 winning Tri-State Megabucks ticket for last night’s drawing.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. Drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
Tri-State Megabucks drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:59 PM and tickets are on sale until 7:50 PM Saturday. Tickets cost $2 per play.
